Application
Calcium nitrate breaks down at heat to form calcium nitrite and gives off oxygen. Strong oxidation, with sulfur, phosphorus, organic matter and other friction, impact can cause combustion or explosion. Calcium nitrate burns with a brick red flame, so it can be used to make fireworks.
Storage
It should be storedin a cool and dry house. The package must be sealed up and protected from moisture. Avoid mixing with organic compound or sulphur during storage and transportation. Prevent the material from rain and insolation. Load and unload carefully. In the case of a fire, use water, soil or other fire extinguishing media but aqueous solution must be prevented to flow towards inflammable materials.
